Spring 2023.. the year for our herbal tea all year round (and a bit more social media hopefully)!

2023 is going to be only our second year of harvesting our herbs and edible flowers for our dried herbal teas, all grown, dried and packaged by us in Patcham and Piddinghoe, East Sussex.
It will also be our first full year, April to April and onwards! So we plan to be very busy indeed. The seed sowing and plant propagation is underway and many cornflower, painted sage, borage and other seedlings are happily growing safely under cover, while the mint and lavender cuttings are sitting tight enduring this latest cold snap.
Our time so far this year has also been spent weeding and topping our beds with lovely locally produced compost to nourish the soils. There are so many worms and the soil is looking lovely.
I very soon will be ditching the hand fork for the basket and secateurs to go foraging and harvesting hawthorn, blackberry leaves, lilac blossom, elderflowers, nettles and spearmint for our popular 'Hedgerow Heaven' blend, soon to be followed by our delicious 'Relaxing Spring Infusion' with lemon balm, fennel, lavender buds and rose petals.
As my intention is to improve my online presence, I will be letting you know here and instagram @teas_for_bees when the teas are being produced and when they are ready for sale.
Both Florence Road market in Brighton (first Saturday of every month) and Lewes Farmers' Markets (third Saturday of every month) were great last year and I'll be back in April at Lewes and Florence Road in May.
See you soon :-)
