Getting the first of the lavender in!

After an age we finally managed to find a spot to get our farm started. A lovely walled garden close to Piddinghoe, with great views across the river, sunny and sheltered.

We spent the first few weeks hacking back the weeds and getting the tranches put in, laying the weed suppressant and organising where each crop will benefit the most.

It was an exciting day, putting our first of many lavender in the soil. It feels like the first major moment of the life of our farm.
