OUR ECOLOGICAL HERB AND FLOWER FARM: GROWING FOR THE POLLINATORS!

A Better Way to Farm

The roots of our small ecological farm have grown out of a lifelong interest in the ecology of the natural world and a wish to live in balance with nature. We grow lots of different, lovely flowers, herbs, shrubs and trees that are suited to our soil and climate and benefit our beautiful pollinators (as well as other wildlife too!).

We use the leaves, flowers, fruits and roots to produce our herbal teas, fresh herb and flower bouquets and also grow potted plants, so you can grow for the pollinators in your gardens too :-).

We believe in farming gently and in balance with nature, so only use organic feeds and encourage natural predators to keep visitors such as aphids in check! To find out more about how we farm for nature please click on 'About Our Farm' below.

HERBAL TEAS

Our herbal teas are made from leaves, flowers, fruits and roots, grown on our farm. Choose from pre-mixed recipes such as our Rest and Digest with moroccan mint, anise hyssop, fennel and coriander seeds and lemon balm or Winter Booster (pictured here, with rosehips, elderberries, calendula, nettles, lemon balm, lavender buds and cornflowers).

We have more than 50 different flowers, leaves and berries for you to choose from, such as; peppermint, spearmint, (plus chocolate, apple, basil and mojito mints to name a few!), lemon verbena, sage, thyme, elderflowers, rosemary, lemon balm, calendula, cornflowers, anise hyssop, haw berries, bergamots, rose hips and petals... please have a look at our shop for a full list :-).

You can buy online here or at a local market, where we can chat face to face and we'll mix your own blend for a unique personal tea.

FRESH HERB AND FLOWER BOUQUETS

Our fresh bouquets are made up with our edible herbs and flowers only! They fill the room with their gorgeous scent and the bright colours of the stems, leaves and flowers; serene greens of the mints, sage and rosemary, the glorious oranges and reds of cosmos (sulphureus), single dahlias and calendula, sky-blue cornflowers, dazzling pinks and purples of the painted sage, zinnias and lavenders and sunshine yellow sunflowers and crysanthemums!

You can snip and mix your own herbal tisane (tea!) concoctions while the flowers and herbs are fresh and even hang with string to dry in a cool, dark place to preserve the flavours and supply for even longer.

FRESH CUT FLOWERS

Our pollinators love our flowers as much as we do :-). We have a wide range of fresh cut flowers. We can provide flowers and ready-made bouquets for gifts, occasions or a bunch to brighten your home. Meet us at a market and see what we have available or please feel free to enquire online, as our flowers will vary throughout the growing season.
